I WANNA PRAISE
© Copyright Edwin Fawcett 2016. Inspired by and based on Deuteronomy 6:5-7
I wanna praise you Lord, and
I wanna serve you Lord, and
I wanna love you Lord my God. (x2)
With all my heart, with all my soul, with all my strength, yeah!
Write your words on my heart, Lord,
I’ll teach them to your children,
I will talk of your words
again and again.
When I sit in my house, Lord,
when I walk by the way, Lord,
and when I lie down,
and when I arise!
Come bring your gifts to the table,
Coz I know you're ready and you are able,
From the start of you, to the heart of you,
Every little part of you, without label,
Without division, or too much precision,
Give yourself, make a decision
To praise, to serve, to love in every season;
You know there is no other reason
For living, it's what we were made for:
Self-giving! Our sins have been paid for,
When he bled and died, and from the cross he cried,
Forgiving the ones that he prayed for.
My sinful ways made me mindless, lifeless,
But he told me I am righteous, priceless.
The veil has been torn, I am reborn,
Restored to his brightness, likeness!
