Last week, Pope Francis made a trip to Assisi to visit the Porziuncola inside the Basilica of St Mary of the Angels — considered the most sacred place of Franciscan spirituality, as Joan Lewis writes (Cf. http://aleteia.org/2016/07/05/pope-francis-to-visit-the-most-sacred-place-of-franciscan-spirituality/). In his brief remarks, he spoke of mercy, and recalled the father of the Prodigal Son.
The meeting was cordial, in spite of their diametrically opposed views regarding the existence of God.
Carlo Acutis, who died at 15 years old, cataloged all of the Eucharistic miracles in the world. "We have always been expected in heaven."
