O Radix Jesse; O Flower of Jesse’s stem from which blossoms life eternal

We are told we live in a hopeless time. Do not believe it; do not become enmeshed in social hysterias. Know in whom you have believed.
O Radix Jesse, qui stas in signum populorum,
super quem continebunt reges os suum,
quem gentes deprecabuntur:
veni ad liberandum nos, jam noli tardare.
O Flower of Jesse’s stem, you have been raised up as a sign for all peoples; kings stand silent in your presence; the nations bow down in worship before you. Come, let nothing keep you from coming to our aid. Antiphon, Divine Office

We are living in the age of naysayers and of doomsday prophets. Throughout media and online we encounter their incessant insistence that, whatever may have been good in the past, there is nothing before us, starting from today, except chaos, destruction, the end of sanity; the end of righteousness.

Do not believe it, and do not become enmeshed in social hysterias. Know in whom you have believed.

From the root of Jesse buds forth nothing less than the savior of all humankind; the light that shines in the darkness and is not overcome.

All the more important that — same as it ever was — we must cling to Christ, in order to overcome evil with good.
