This generation isn’t up to the complex, often paradoxical work of applying standards of right and wrong to a decadent world. We can hear the mutual whine of Obama and his followers on Tumblr: “It’s tiresome to make moral distinctions between criminals and upstanding citizens, marriage and the mockery of gay “marriage,” globs of tissue and human beings in the womb…"
When we refuse to engage in the battle between good and evil, the battle nonetheless rages on, and evil tends to gain the upper hand. We are now witnessing what a friend of mine calls “the work of the ages old alliance between Monsters and Cowards.” How long will the placid mediocrity of Obama’s America last against the devoted sons of perdition among us? If his approach to wickedness prevails among the Tumblr generation, I’m afraid that T.S. Elliot may be proven right:
This is the way the world ends
Not with a bang but a whimper
