Nada Te Turbe (video)

Zoe Romanowsky - published on 11/11/14

A virtual choir of Carmelites

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.

This prayer of St. Teresa of Jesus is sung here by a virtual choir of Carmelites. In celebration of the St. Teresa’s 500th birthday, two virtual choirs have been produced, one of which is Nada Te Turbe. The voices of Carmelite Nuns and Seculars from around the world are accompanied by the Teresian Orchestra of St. James Cathedral in Seattle, Washington, and the music is composed by Claire Sokol, OCD.
