A Catholic mixologist says it's possible to mix holiness and alcohol
Just one verse each day.
Michael Foley, author of the new book, Drinking With the Saints, says drinking alcohol isn’t a vice. Christians who reach for a beer, glass of wine, or cocktail follow a long tradition of using alcohol responsibly. In this EWTN clip, Foley gives Catherine Seltzer a tour of his book at Washington D.C.'s bar The Gibson, where he mixes a few drinks in honor of the saints. The key to mixing holiness and alcohol, according to Foley, is to drink enough to remember, and not enough to forget. Something to keep in mind when lifting at a glass at your Memorial Day events.
