Video: 3 Things You Need to Know About the Sign of the Cross

Zoe Romanowsky - published on 06/22/15

That familiar gesture means something

The sign of the cross is so familiar, we often forget how signiicant the gesture really is. In this Altaration video produced by Ascension Press, Fr. Mike Schmitz, director of Youth and Young Adult Ministry for the Diocese of Duluth, Minn., walks us through three things everyone should know about making the sign of the cross. Rather than be a gesture we absent-mindedly make, the sign of the cross can itself be a prayer. This video is one of many among the Altaration series, designed for teens, which brings together some of the best Catholic speakers, with excellent cinematography and dynamic Catholic content.
