In What Unique Way Are You Welcoming the Pope?

Zelda Caldwell - published on 09/18/15

This Holy Father is full of surprises. What about you?

Pope Francis is coming to the United States and Aleteia wants to know what you, your parish or your friends and family are doing that’s really unique (because he is a one-of-a-kind pontiff) to mark his visit? Please send us photos, Vines, stories, you name it, and we will post them on our pages.

This is a Pope who thinks outside the box, so what outside-the-box way are you going to welcome the Holy Father?

Maybe your parish is planning to live-stream a Papal Mass a la a giant Super Bowl party (would a fast be required or would Buffalo chicken wings be in order? You might want to check).

Perhaps your family has decided to spend Saturday working in soup kitchen? Or gleaning! Such an archaic word for such a modern, eco-friendly— dare we say “hip” concept. The pontiff would approve, we think.

Or maybe you’ve decided to try to see the man himself and make a pilgrimage to Washington, New York or Philadelphia— on foot?  Tell us about it! Share your plans at
