Today the pope invited two children to join him on the “popemobile” at the Vatican.
A story from Rome Reports says a family from Spain was in Rome and had made a quick stop at the Vatican when Pope Francis unexpectedly invited their two children to ride on the popemobile with him.
“We yelled ‘Father Jorge!’ And he gave us his hand and said come on up,” recalls the children.
The ride lasted about 10 minutes, and the family says it was a moving experience.
“The kids were excited for the rest of the day … and I couldn’t stop crying,” says their mother.
