I Believe in You

The Sun - published on 03/02/16

"The Homes of Mosul"

Every man is born innocent. Tell me: What sets us apart?

Religious freedom in a country like Iraq, devastated by seemingly endless war, is often not discussed. At times the topic is even silenced.

The Sun showed great courage, therefore, in dedicating “Le Case di Mosul” [The homes of Mosul] to this reality and presenting it as the first release from their new album, Cuore Aperto [Open Heart].

“The homes of Mosul” presents us with a question: “Every man is born innocent. Tell me: What sets us apart?” It is a universal question that transcends time, creed, race and culture.

A message of truth and empathy, dedicated to the innocent martyrs who gave their lives to defend the value of religious freedom; dedicated to those who remain, and to their courage to rebuild a better society, day by day.

#ibelieveinyou is a call to each of us — a call that contains the highest meaning of our human nature.

Thanks to The Sun for giving voice to those who have none; CECILIA is with you, ready to spread your message of peace in the world.

“Le Case di Mosul” is from their latest album, Cuore Aperto [Open Heart].
