Cecilia Artist to Watch: Jackie Minton

Jackie Minton - published on 03/11/16

Searching for Now

“We got here, but we’re not sure how. Take my hand, and we’ll figure it out.”

Just over a month ago, Jackie Minton published her first music video and it caught our eye here at Cecilia.

According to the young songstress, “‘Searching for Now’ is about living in the moment and looking for that true joy that I think we’re all trying to find in our lives when we decide to go for the next thing or shoot for that next target.”

“Searching for Now,” a light, upbeat track, is the title song on her first EP. Others songs, like “Stain” and “Ticket to You,” feature an edgier side of Minton, showing her depth. The folk/pop album, now available on iTunes,is a solid start for the emerging artist, and we’re excited to see what’s to come.

Jackie Minton is officially a Cecilia Artist to Watch.
