Music and Evangelization: Watch These Singing Kids Share the Good News Across the Globe

KISI – God's singing kids - published on 05/09/16

"Apostles' Creed"

We belong together. I was born an orphan. When I joined KISI, I found a family.

A letter from a friend of Cecilia, founder of KISI – God’s singing kids:

“Dear Cecilia,

The deep joy of our faith becomes visible and audible in this music video. It is sung by kids from the Catholic group “KISI – God’s singing kids.“ Through the song they share their faith in a way that makes people want to join in and sing along. Through the years, the hearts of many people have been touched by this song, so the group finally turned it into a video to bring it to even more people.

The group, whose name means “kids singing,“ started in 1993 in the Austrian Catholic parish Altmünster am Traunsee. Hannes and Birgit Minichmayr, the leaders of the group, longed for children to experience a new joy of faith, to praise God, and make the Christian faith come alive for people. Birgit writes and composes all the songs and musicals.

“The Apostles’ Creed“ is from the album No Longer Alone, which contains powerful songs for mass and church services. The video features the song in different languages, showing KISI kids from different nations proclaiming their faith and talking about the important KISI values and why they are so happy to be part of this group. These five purposes – discovering God, awakening new talents, fellowship, sharing the Good News, and living everyday with Jesus – are what drives KISI.

– Hannes Minichmayr”
