Watch: “Hamildolph” brings together Hamilton and Rudolph in a brilliant Christmas rewrite

Cecilia Music - published on 12/19/16

“How does a young buck reindeer grow up to be so famous?”

Eclipse 6, a Utah-based a cappella group recently released a brilliant, sure to go viral video: Hamildolph. The group rewrites the title song “Hamilton” from the Tony award-winning musical and tells the story of a “young buck reindeer, one who was constantly mocked and dropped in the middle of a forgotten Island of Misfit Toys,” who went on to be the most famous of them all, part of Santa’s crew.

The group even managed to slip in a few more subtle references to the Broadway hit:

Rudolph, come in – did you say “brrr”?

Yes, sir, ‘cause it’s freezing.

Watch and enjoy.
