The Ricordi Archive was founded in 1808. Since then, it has added more than 8,000 scores, 15,000 letters, 10,000 sketches, 7,000 photos and a similar number of music-related items to its collection. The archive is owned by the multinational company Bertelsmann, which is responsible for its conservation and also for the digitalization project that now makes the collection available for everyone on Archive’s website.
