‘Blade Runner 2049’: A dystopian future never looked so pretty

J-P Mauro - published on 05/17/17

The sci fi flick expands the cult universe formed in 1982.

A grim Ryan Gosling and a creepy Jared Leto are starring in the sequel to the 1982 cult classic Blade Runner. The trailer moves quickly and is visually stunning. It shows us images of an advanced society and the remnant of a fallen one, holographic advertisements, and of course flying cars. Our favorite was the creation of replicants (synthetic humans of the Blade Runner universe).

It looks like Robin Wright will be playing Gosling’s superior officer and we were thrilled to see Harrison Ford reprising yet another role from his youth, this time as Rick Deckard. Perhaps we will finally get a definitive answer as to whether or not he is a human, as many people thought the ending to the original Blade Runner left the audience guessing.
