Pope Francis signs a surf board given to him by Sean Brody and Daniel Hopkins, global surf travelers and founders of the Kwepunha Surf Retreat during a meeting with the participants of the Sixth World Congress of the Pontifical Foundation Scholas.
World Congress of the Pontifical Foundation Scholas Occurrentes is an international organization of pontifical right approved and created by Pope Francis in Vatican City August 13, 2013. It combines technology with art and sport to promote social integration and a culture of encounter for peace.
