At the General Audience in St. Peter’s Square on November 8, 2017, Pope Francis warmly greeted Maximiliano Acuña, an Argentine garbage collector who suffered a tragic accident in March in which he lost both legs. Last July the pope called him by phone to give him encouragement and the assurance of his prayers.
