We should always try to remain calm and composed, of course, but every now and then there’s an inconvenience about which we feel fairly justified in being indignant. A stranger shamelessly taking your food is one of those things.

In the video below, the narrator tells such a tale, but, though he succeeded in remaining calm and generous, the lesson he learned was not one of giving mercy; rather, it was one of receiving mercy. The story serves as a much-needed reminder that sometimes it’s the people we are struggling to be patient with who are actually being patient with us.
