Are you ready to be filled with the Christmas spirit? The Piano Guys released this wonderful medley of “Ode To Joy” and “Joy To the World” on their 2017 album, Christmas Together. Performing with a choir, percussionist, cornetist, and a bell choir, The Piano Guys exhibit their incredible talent in this seasonal mashup.
Part of their charm is the joy they bring to their craft; they look like they’re having the time of their lives. Schmidt and Nelson have a jolly time trading the melody of “Joy to The World” on piano and cello respectively, before they dive into Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” in grand fashion, with the choir.
The Piano Guys have been producing viral videos since 2011. Their virtuoso arrangements and mashups are always approached with a desire to give the listener a recognizable tune in a way they’ve never heard before. Also released on this album were “O Holy Night / Ave Maria” another medley featuring Lexi Walker.
