Twitter is abuzz with tributes to the famous scientist who passed away early today at the age of 76.
Early this morning, theoretical physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking passed away at his home in Cambridge, England. His family reports that Hawking died peacefully, after living with a rare motor neuron disease since he was 22 years old.
Despite his critical views on religion, Hawking inspired many with his optimistic outlook in the face of illness and disability, and his life experiences provided him with many wise insights. To honor his memory, Twitter users have been tweeting out their favorite and most inspiring quotes from Hawking. You can read some of them below.
"My advice to other disabled people would be, concentrate on things your disability doesn't prevent you doing well, and don't regret the things it interferes with. Don't be disabled in spirit as well as physically."— Nancy Sinatra (@NancySinatra) March 14, 2018
