NOTRE DAME NIGHT

Day or night, these architectural wonders are some of the greatest testaments to faith.

A visitor to any of Europe’s great Catholic cathedrals, no matter what their religious beliefs, can’t help but be inspired by the testament to the faith that made these heroic edifices possible. These beautiful churches were works of great art and craftsmanship that sometimes took hundreds of years to complete and involved untold sacrifices to the believers who built them.

Today’s tourists, unlike the pilgrims of old, can enjoy these beautiful cathedrals, day or night, from nearby or from far away, as they shine their light for miles, offering a beacon of hope and a reminder of the faith of those who built them.

Launch the slideshow for a look at some of Europe’s great cathedrals at night.
