Kids from a local children's hospital were amazed by this show of love and support.
Players at a Dutch soccer match were surprised at the recent Feyenoord-Excelsior game by an avalanche of children’s toys showered over the section occupied by kids from a local children’s hospital.
When Excelsior fans discovered they would be seated in the section above patients from Sophia Children’s Hospital who had been invited by Feyenoord, they hatched a plan to bring plush toys and teddy bears, raining them down on the kids from the top tier.
Support for their cuddly surprise immediately filled Twitter newsfeeds, with some thanking the do-gooders for restoring their faith in humanity.
It seems the surprise sure paid off with the kids, as well. Their delighted faces are a magnificent reward for those who planned their surprise gifts.
