Ask God to cleanse your mind with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

There are times when our thoughts hinder us from living a virtuous life.

We want to follow God, but our thoughts keep us from moving forward.

Below is a short prayer from the 19th century that asks God to cleanse our hearts with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

O God, to whom every heart is open and every will speaks, and from whom no secrets are hid, cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the infusion of the Holy Spirit, that we may perfectly love thee and worthily praise you, through our Lord Jesus Christ. In the unity of the same. Amen.
