Today is the feast day of St. Peter and St. Paul. And while the two share this special day, they didn’t always get along. They both loved Jesus and devoted their lives to serving Him. But they had different views on how the Christian faith should be practiced.
Despite this, both men went on to become key figures in early Christianity — and great saints. While Simon Peter, called Cephas in Greek, became the rock on which the Church was built, it is thanks to Paul, known as Saul before his conversion, and his prolific writings in the New Testament that we learn so much about the earliest days of Christianity.
