Moses gives us an example of how prayers for healing don't have to be complex for God to hear them.

Sometimes we might be tempted to think that God will only hear our prayers if we pray all sorts of long, wordy prayers.

Moses, on the other hand, shows us that prayers for healing can be extremely simple.

When his sister Miriam was afflicted with a type of leprosy, Moses panicked and did not want his sister to die. He cried out to God in his desperation.

O God, please heal her—please.

Numbers 12:13

Simple, isn’t it?

God heard Moses’ cry for help and healed his sister, restoring her to full health.

Remember, God desires a “contrite heart.” He wants us to speak honestly to him and to trust in his mercy.

When we do that, it does not matter how many words we use. All we need to do is speak from the heart with faith that God can actually do what we ask.
