God our Father, the entire material universe speaks of your love, of your boundless affection for us!
Technology has remedied countless evils which used to harm and limit human beings. How can we not feel gratitude and appreciation for this progress that you have allowed, especially in the field of medicine?
Aware of how you have given us Creation as a gift and made us stewards over it, and have made our intelligence to penetrate its mysteries, I ask you now to bless these medicines that are given me for my well-being, my mental and physical health.
May they work for your purpose, giving me strength to serve you. Give me, too, the generosity to offer my ailments to you, uniting them to your cross for the redemption of the world.
