Dear protector and shepherd, lead me to life!
Catechism of the Catholic Church 336:
From its beginning until death, human life is surrounded by [angels’] watchful care and intercession. “Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life.” Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God.
Prayer for Day 1
Father, thank you for the provident concern with which you care for me.
Dear guardian angel, allow me to feel your presence beside me, and to let myself be guided by you so that my whole life might be illuminated by the word of God.
Dear angel, my guardian, help me to join my sufferings to those of Christ for the spiritual renewal of all society.
Dear angel entrusted to me by God the Father, remind me to frequently call on your help so that I man grow in the constant witness to authentic love.
