Fear can cripple us, and it takes true wisdom to understand that only God can banish fear in our lives.
Here is a prayer adapted from the Liturgical Year that asks God for that wisdom and true peace of heart.
O Jesus, Son of God, born of a Virgin, whose Nativity struck the nations with terror and compelled kings to reverence you, grant unto us the beginning of Wisdom, that we may thereby yield fruit and render you by our adnvancemment in the same the fruits of peace. O you who came like a torrent to call the nations and was born on earth for the conversion of sinners, show unto us the gift of your grace whereby all fear being removed, we may ever follow you by the chaste love of inward charity. Amen.
