Be prepared for some joy overload!

With the start of the new year, many of us feel the pressure to turn over a new leaf and make improvements in our lives. The thing is, it’s not always easy to keep up with our well-meaning resolutions.

However, this uplifting video of Brother Michael Meza lost in dance is the inspiration we all need to just enjoy each moment we’ve been given.

The video was taken at a wedding, with the Capuchin friar taking to the dance floor oblivious that he was being filmed — much to the delight of the friar who was filming him! The look on Brother Michael’s face sums up the complete joy of the event, and his delight at taking part in celebrating the happy couple.

Brother Michael, who has Salvadoran roots, graciously allowed us to share the video, giving us a little insight into the life of a religious away from their spiritual duties. While it shows his love of music — and incredible moves — it also reminds us to stop caring so much about what people think of us, and to make the most of those precious times with family and friends.

So take a few seconds and feel the contagious happiness of this funky friar. And Happy New Year!
