Ask God to keep you firm in the faith, reflecting on the birth of Jesus.

The Christmas season is a beautiful time to reflect on the birth of Jesus and the effect of that event on our spiritual lives.

The reality of the Incarnation should boost our faith in God, strengthening us for any trial that may come upon us.

Here is a collect prayer of the Church that asks God for the strength to keep the faith in the light of the Incarnation.

God, our Father,
since through the human birth of your only Son you began in us the work of redemption,
keep us firm in faith,
and with Christ as the Shepherd of our souls
bring us the glory you have promised.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
(one) God, for ever and ever.
Amen.
