Begin your day with this very short prayer that offers your heart to God.

Above all things in this world, God desires our heart. He wants us to love him in return for the abundance of love he pours out upon us.

We can do this every morning, consecrating the first moments of the day to God by offering to him our heart.

Here is a short prayer from the Catholic’s Pocket Prayer Book that does exactly that.

O God, my only good, the author of my being, and my last end,
I give you my heart.
Praise honor and glory be to you for ever and ever.
Amen.
