Jonathan Roumie has won over millions for his role as Jesus in The Chosen, the hit series that depicts Christ as he embarks on His mission. And one of the reasons the show has proved such a success is because viewers feel a strong connection with Roumie's depiction of Jesus.
Adding weight to his role, Roumie -- whom Aleteia had the pleasure to interview about what it was like to play the part of Jesus -- mastered some Aramaic, the language Jesus would have spoken; a language that is still spoken in parts of the Middle East today.
