The actor Mario Lopez is well known for his role in Saved by the Bell and as host of entertainment news shows like Extra and Access Hollywood. However, he also happens to be a devout Catholic and is happy to share his love for his faith.

In fact, Lopez recently took to Twitter to share a moving image of him lighting a candle inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Accompanying the photo, the actor shared a powerful message that should resonate with us all, especially during this season of Advent.

“With the light of faith, however big or small, it’s a reminder to stay present with our Maker …”

While this message is both beautiful and important, there’s something else we couldn’t help admire about Lopez’s Twitter account: his simple bio that speaks not of his impressive career, but simply of being “Gia, Dominic, and Santino’s dad.”

It is exactly his family values and his deep faith that give Lopez his true star quality.
