We'll soon be seeing a lot of this image!

Update:

While the semi-official Vatican newspaper, L'Osservatore Romano, released an official photo of Pope Leo XIV shortly after his election, this May 16, the Vatican has released another.

In the new one, the signature is in Latin (not Italian), and the date of his election is not included. He also is wearing the papal white cassock, and not vestments.

The pontiff wears a cross that was given to him by his religious order, the Augustinians, at the time of his creation as a cardinal in 2023. It contains five relics.
