The actor's son was confirmed this weekend, and the social media savvy dad was on hand to share the happy news.

On Sundays, Mark Wahlberg tends to share a post from church reminding those that follow him on social media to stay "prayed up." Last weekend, however, his message was slightly different.

The proud father of four shared a video from his son Brendan's confirmation with an impressive number of children all being confirmed in their faith. Mom Rhea Durham shared in her message, "God loves you so much and he will be with you through every up and every down forever. We love you sweet boy."

While the actor's post generated likes and comments from familiar faces such as Jonathan Roumie, who shared enthusiastically: "Congrats, my brother!! 🙏🏽♥️🥳," it also had an impact on other followers of Wahlberg.

In fact, one person commented: "Mr. Mark Wahlberg, I'm a Hindu but nevertheless seeing you go to Church motivates me.. thank you so much for your good deed.. May God bless you forever!!" It shows how a simple post can make waves throughout the world.

In the Facebook post Wahlberg also shared -- commenting on how proud he was of his son -- people talked not only about how much Brendan resembled his famous dad, but how wonderful it was for his parents to have instilled their faith in the 16-year-old.

As social media continues to play an important role in inspiring both the faithful and the non-faithful in the wonders of the Catholic Church, we congratulate Brendan Wahlberg on his confirmation and send our prayers to all those who've also been confirmed in the faith recently.
