Its debut is anchored by the exclusive online release of 'Carlo Acutis: Roadmap to Reality.'

A new streaming service dedicated to faith-driven content will launch globally on May 28, with its debut anchored by the exclusive online release of Carlo Acutis: Roadmap to Reality. The documentary, which became the year’s top-grossing faith-based film during its U.S. theatrical run, will be available on CREDO’s à la carte platform, without a subscription model.

CREDO was developed by Tim Moriarty, founder and CEO of Castletown Media, who describes the platform as a curated space for spiritually grounded, artistically produced films. The launch marks a new approach to Catholic media distribution, emphasizing independent production and viewer choice. Rather than offering monthly plans, CREDO will allow users to rent or purchase titles individually.

“Catholic audiences shouldn’t have to settle for anything less than artistic excellence,” Moriarty said in a press release. “With CREDO, rigorous curation meets state-of-the-art streaming.”

The platform’s inaugural title focuses on Carlo Acutis, the British-born Italian teen who gained international attention for documenting Eucharistic miracles online before his death in 2006. Acutis was beatified in 2020 and is often referred to as the first millennial on the path to sainthood. The film, produced by Castletown Media and Wahl St. Productions, will be available in English, with captions in Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese.

In the months following its launch, CREDO plans to expand its library with additional documentaries and original productions. One of the first to follow Roadmap to Reality will be Leo XIV: A Pontiff’s Path, a biopic tracing the life of the newly elected pope. The film follows his journey from a Chicago childhood to missionary service in Peru, culminating in his election as pontiff. According to CREDO, the production blends interviews and documentary footage to provide a personal look at the pope’s formation and ministry.

While the platform is rooted in Catholic values, its approach to content is broad. CREDO aims to offer films that are theologically sound and culturally engaging, while appealing to a wide audience. The project reflects a growing interest among filmmakers and viewers in content that explores faith through contemporary storytelling.

CREDO is available via web browsers, mobile apps, and smart TVs. For more information, visit WatchCredo.com.
