The Instagram account of the Holy Father is a small oasis on social media sure to bring a smile to your face.

Pope Leo XIV is hitting six weeks as Successor of Peter on June 19, and has quickly found his voice as the spiritual leader of the world.

Part of his missionary efforts are carried out on the "digital continent," especially through the Vatican's redesigned website, and the various social media accounts linked to the Pope.

For Instagram users, @Pontifex is a breath of fresh air.

The account gives a chance to see enjoy some of the most tender moments shared by the Holy Father and the faithful who visit him from around the world.

And we admit our staff fell in love with little Leon, one of the pilgrims from the general audience of June 18. Scroll right and you'll find him right after this beautiful icon of our soon to be saint Carlo!

His sign says, "Hello. My name is Leo too!"
