Speaking to representatives of four communities of women religious, the Pope highlighted how a solid relationship with Christ can lead to great things.
The history of women's congregations is marked by “strong and courageous women who did not hesitate to take risks,” said Pope Leo XIV on September 22, 2025, during an audience with sisters from four communities currently holding their general chapters.
The meeting brought together the Discalced Carmelites of the Holy Land, the Sisters of St. Catherine, Virgin and Martyr, the Salesian Missionaries of Mary Immaculate, and the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres.
