The Chosen Adventures, a new animated series telling the stories of Jesus from the viewpoint of two young children who met him, will begin streaming on Prime Video on October 17, Prime Video and 5&2 Studios announced in an August press release.
The first season of The Chosen Adventures consists of 14 11-minute episodes, said the release, and all episodes will be released on the same day. While the episodes will initially be available exclusively on Prime Video, they will be released on YouTube later in 2025, said the press release.
The series centers on two nine-year-old children, Abby and Joshua, who live in Capernum, and their animal sidekicks.
"When the children encounter a wise craftsman and teacher, Jesus of Nazareth, he changes the way they see the world," said a release from The Chosen.
The two "take on new adventures, befriend a wannabe centurion-in-training, and absorb even more powerful lessons from the world's greatest Teacher," said the release. (And there's a talking sheep, named "Sheep.")
Actors from The Chosen, including Jonathan Roumie as Jesus Christ, will reprise their roles in The Chosen Adventures.
Joining the cast is Paul Walter Hauser as Sheep, Yvonne Orji as Pigeon, Romy Fay as Abby, Jude Zarzaur as Joshua, Danny Nucci as Abba and Zehra Fazal as Eema.
Grammy-nominated singer Jordin Sparks has a reoccurring role as the character "Fish," said the press release.
Episode titles include "Jesus loves the little children (and their parents, too);" "Little Caesar;" and "Blind Faith."
The episodes will be viewable on Prime Video from the United States, United Kingdom, Latin America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and Sub Saharan Africa.

'The Chosen' sets a new record
On September 29, The Come and See Foundation announced that season five of "The Chosen" had set a new Guinness World Record for "most translated season for a streaming series."
The Come and See Foundation is "on a mission to ensure that all 7 seasons of The Chosen are produced, translated into 600 languages, globally distributed, and free for all."
Season five, the most recent season, was recently released on the Chosen app.
“Fewer than 5% of global Chosen viewers pay to watch the show, and that’s because of the people around the world who donate to keep the show free and easy to watch and translated into as many languages as possible. This free global launch is why we do what we do,” said Dallas Jenkins, creator and director of The Chosen.
Season five of The Chosen was dubbed into 50 languages, setting the new record. The entire series can be viewed on The Chosen app and The Chosen Lite app.
The Chosen Lite app is a simplified version of The Chosen app and is for people living in areas with lower bandwidth or who use older devices to stream the show, said a press release from The Come and See Foundation.
