What if we could retreat with Christ without leaving home? That's the vision behind eCatholic's Engage Virtual Summit for Catholic leaders.

In the Bible, God had a special way of preparing people for mission. From Moses to Jesus’ disciples, God would call his chosen instruments “up on the mountain,” to draw them close to him and renew them for their work on earth.

If you work in ministry, you might long for a chance to “go up the mountain” with God. A chance to pray, think, and step back to see the big picture. A chance to be renewed in Christ.

What if we could retreat with Christ without leaving home? Offering you a “mountaintop retreat” is the vision behind eCatholic's Engage Virtual Summit, a powerful two-day event October 21 and 22, designed to equip and inspire Catholic leaders.

A chance to learn and grow

eCatholic's Engage Summit is designed to renew your vision of evangelization and missionary discipleship, and help you embrace all the tools available to ministry leaders.

Many Catholic leaders are passionate about evangelization, but feel overwhelmed by the pace of change in digital technology. How can they make the best use of all these new options?

“The summit will encourage leaders to embrace the tools, opportunities, and grace that the Lord has given us in our day,” said Brandon Duncan of eCatholic.

The event will not only inspire Catholic leaders with a renewed sense of mission but also will equip them with practical strategies to help them evangelize with confidence and boldness in the digital world.

“Between sessions, we're going to include demonstrations of digital tools that are really transforming the way pastors and Catholic leaders do ministry online,” Duncan said.

You can expect to learn new strategies that you can confidently put into practice even the day after the summit.

Prayer opportunities

The summit is also a beautiful opportunity to be refreshed through prayer and meditation. Bishop Robert Reed, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston and president of Catholic TV, will offer opening and closing prayers for the summit. He’ll also lead the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Catholic artist Marie Miller will offer a musical performance on the second day, a chance for prayerful reflection.

Made for Mission

The summit comes at eCatholic’s 20th anniversary, an exciting milestone and a chance to celebrate their work in digital evangelization.

“Our goal was to create a well-rounded program that's both deeply rooted in the Church's mission and also provides actionable items for for those who attend,” Duncan said. “We chose the theme to reflect eCatholic’s mission and the broader call we all share as Catholics from the Lord's commission to go make disciples.”

The two-day virtual format on October 21 and 22 offers a seamless event experience, without the travel stress. No need to deal with jet lag or sacrificing family time.

“The format really captures the heart of eCatholic as a technology and a software company,” Duncan said. “We are fully present in the digital space. So why not host an event that is fully virtual?”

Who should attend the Summit?

The Summit can fuel the mission of all Catholic leaders, including the following:

  • Pastors and clergy looking to more effectively reach and engage their flocks
  • Parish staff and ministry leaders who already wear many hats and are ready for one more
  • Catholic school leaders exploring fresh ways to form youth and their families
  • Diocesan teams seeking new ideas and innovative tools to enhance their impact online

  • Any Catholic in the pew wanting to evangelize boldly in the digital age

eCatholic offers Team and Diocesan pass options to make it easier (and more affordable) to bring your entire staff or parish leadership team. This event could be considered a professional development opportunity for ministry leaders and teachers.
