For his first Hallowtide (the feasts of the beginning of November) on the Chair of Peter, Pope Leo will have some special moments.
Hallowtide or Allhallowtide is a name sometimes given to the Vigil of All Saints Day (Halloween), the November 1 celebration of All Saints, and the November 2 feast of All Souls.
For the first All Saints' Day of his pontificate, Leo XIV will celebrate Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Basilica, during which he will proclaim St. John Henry Newman as the 38th Doctor of the Church.
On Sunday, November 2, after reciting the Angelus before the faithful gathered in St. Peter's Square, the Pope will travel to Rome's Verano Cemetery to celebrate Mass for the Faithful Departed at 4:00 PM.

It is a tradition for the faithful to celebrate All Saints' Day in a cemetery, either with Mass or a visit to the cemetery.
Then on Monday, November 3, Leo will celebrate a Mass in memory of all the cardinals and bishops who died in the past year, which of course includes Pope Francis. The Mass will be at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Basilica.
