Children’s Adoration events allow young kids to draw near to Jesus with love—and us adults to learn from their example.

During his time on earth, Jesus didn’t praise all that many people.

But He did hold up as an example an entire group of people: children.

Several times, Jesus told his followers to become more like little children:

“Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Amen, I say to you, whoever does not accept the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it.” (Mark 10:14-15)

Sure enough, spend time with children in a religious setting, and you will be amazed at the depth and sincerity of their devotion. I’ve seen this time and time again as a catechist for preschoolers.

Now the world has a chance to see how children love Jesus, thanks to a recent video of Children’s Adoration that has gone viral on social media.

Family Adoration at SEEK 2026

The event took place at the annual SEEK Conference in Denver. The SEEK Conference is a large event for college students, young adults, and families, hosted by the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS).

The video calls it “The Cutest Eucharistic Adoration” and shows young children and their parents adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, while a priest gently brings the monstrance down to the children’s eye level. The voiceover says:

We're going to do adoration for the children here at the SEEK conference, because Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, "Let the children come to me." And for all of us, it's good to be reminded of just a childlike faith before the Lord. Awe, wonder, and just receiving.

The video has nearly 23,000 "likes" and counting. Watch it here from EWTN Pro-Life Weekly:

The caption gives some more context:

How beautiful it is when the youngest hearts SEEK the Lord in Eucharistic Adoration.

Father Matt Lowry from Northern Arizona University hosted a special “Family Adoration” at SEEK 2026 in Denver, CO, where dozens of young Catholics with children were able to bring their families to adore Christ.

He shared that this is a special reminder of the importance of child-like dependence on Jesus.

Children’s Adoration is a special opportunity

Why offer a special time of Adoration just for children? Aleteia spoke with two mothers whose children regularly attend Children’s Adoration at their local parishes.

Annie, a mother of five, explained why it makes sense to set aside a special time of Adoration just for young children:

Children’s Adoration has been so valuable for our family in making the Eucharist accessible to our children, as they are invited to encounter Jesus up close and are taught how to pray and offer their hearts to Him.

It’s also so lovely for us as parents to have an environment where there is no pressure or anxiety around our children’s natural noises and movements. We can just focus on our family’s encounter with the Lord.

Toni, a mother of six, said these events help her children learn to pray and to understand the priceless importance of the Eucharist:

The biggest thing my children have learned from Children’s Adoration is how to be present to Jesus in the Eucharist, how to talk to him as a friend. They are encouraged to tell Jesus how they are feeling and something they’re thankful for.

My kids were also impressed with the heavy golden key that locks the tabernacle and has to be protected at all times because it holds the most precious gift.

Whether at your local parish or at a big event like SEEK, Children’s Adoration events are a beautiful opportunity to let the little ones draw near to Jesus with love—and for us adults to watch and learn from their example.
