The actors both took to social media with some striking similarities. And we have questions for their priests.
Every Lent we're used to seeing some familiar faces -- like Mark Wahlberg, or Gwen Stefani -- sharing photos of their Ash Wednesday crosses for all to see. However, yesterday we saw something a little unusual.
Yes, we saw a twinning, or even a "who wore it best?" moment!
Actors Mark Wahlberg and Jonathan Roumie decided to get together to wish everyone a "Happy Ash Wednesday" and to remind everyone to "stay prayed up," as they continue their 40 Day prayer challenge with Hallow this Lent. (This increasingly popular challenge that has seen the actor Chris Pratt join his fellow actors to make Lent even more meaningful.)
Yet we couldn't help but notice that the pair were looking very similar. Maybe it was their big smiles as they embark on their Lenten challenges. Or, perhaps it was their seemingly identical crosses.
While we're not able to interview the priest who traced these incredibly similar crosses, we can't help but feel that a ruler might have been involved to get such identical results!
Whatever the case, we wish you all a blessed Ash Wednesday, and we hope that the actors can inspire you throughout this season to have your most meaningful Lent yet!
