Pope Leo XIV has called the world's cardinals to Rome this weekend to discuss "just war," the civilization of love, and the future of the Church.
Lines of red skullcaps will once again fill the streets of Rome on June 26 and 27, 2026. For the second time in his pontificate, Pope Leo XIV has summoned all 241 cardinals. Both electors and non-electors are expected for two days of high-level discussions. On June 22, the Vatican released the detailed schedule for this meeting.
The Holy Father intends to establish these gatherings as an annual event, to hear the College of Cardinals’ perspectives on the Church’s most pressing challenges.
