Good news for Jim Gaffigan fans who couldn’t get a ticket to the comedian’s sold-out Pabst Theater residency: A fourth show has been added for Dec. 30. Even better news: All of the ticket sales for the fourth show will benefit the Riverwest Food Pantry. Established in 1979, the Food Pantry distributed 235,000 pounds of food in 2015, said its director, Vincent Noth. It serves meals at two sites to about 12,000 people a year, about a third of them children. After becoming a nonprofit in 2013, the pantry expanded its focus to cover poverty reduction and nutritional guidance, through community gardens, cooking demonstrations, a mentorship program and more. Gaffigan is very familiar with the program; his wife and writing partner Jeannie, a Milwaukee native, is Noth’s sister. Gaffigan has performed year-end shows at the Pabst Theater for 10 years, and the whole family volunteers at the pantry when they’re in Milwaukee for the holidays, Noth said.
