Marco Rubio Releases Ad Touting His Faith

Deacon Greg Kandra - published on 01/07/16

This came out today:

The new push comes after Rubio on Wednesday announced his religious liberty advisory board — a volunteer panel of academics, pastors and advocates of different faiths that includes well-known evangelicals such as Rick Warren and Wayne Grudem. His campaign promoted the move by saying Rubio will now seek “guidance from faith leaders across the country who are dedicated to defending it.” The senator in November hired Eric Teetsel as his faith outreach director and has been focusing more on his religion in stump speeches. Rubio converted to Mormonism in grade school before returning to the Catholic Church. “Our goal is eternity,” Rubio says to begin the ad, which mostly features shots of him speaking directly to the camera but includes two shots of him with his family. “The ability to live alongside our Creator and for all time. To accept the free gift of salvation offered to us by Jesus Christ.”
