Remember when “Flat Francis” went to Epcot?
Well, he finally made it to the Vatican, through the folks who created him at Catholic Extension. And he got to meet The Real Guy.
On a pilgrimage to Rome with the Catholic Extension Board of Governors, our chancellor Archbishop Blase Cupich and president Fr. Jack Wall were able to meet with Pope Francis and introduce him to Flat Francis. He loved it! Since launching the #FlatFrancis campaign in April, we have received more than 2,000 images from Catholics around the country who are excited for the Pope’s first visit to the United States. Since its launch earlier this year, photos have been received from every state in the U.S. of the cutout with the hashtag #FlatFrancis as a way to welcome Pope Francis to America. I also had the opportunity to show him Extension magazine, the organization’s official publication, which just came out and features the Holy Father on the cover,” said Cupich.
