Great Moments in Journalism: What a Fire Did to This Church is Obscene

Deacon Greg Kandra - published on 12/22/15

I was cheered to see this story and accompanying pictures, showing details of a new Catholic church in West Virginia—to be built on the same spot where fire destroyed the previous church.

Butthe story online didn’t say what I think they intended:

Parishioners at St. John Catholic Church in Benwood have a little more to celebrate this Christmas, as they’ve been given the first drawings of what their new church will look like over the weekend. The new church will be built in the same place where their old church sat, before being destroyed by flames that ravished the church back in March.

Meantime: check out the images here.
