Last week Luke Aikins became the first man to ever complete a planned jump from a height of 25,000 feet with no assistance and no parachute. His secret? A giant net:
This has got to be about the biggest leap of faith we’ve ever seen and brings to mind Pope Francis’ recent fall in Czestochowa, during his visit to Poland. When asked about it, he said:
“I was busy gazing at the Madonna and I forgot about the little step! I was holding the thurible and when I felt I was falling I let myself go and this is what saved me. Had I resisted the fall, there would have been consequences. But everything was OK.”
So cheers to Aikin who set a record we’re sure no one will ever try to break.
