In the Parker County court building there was a group of inmates being held in a minimum security cell when the guard overseeing them slumped over and became unresponsive:
The group approached the holding cell door, looking at the officer, wondering what to do. They wanted to help, but they knew breaking out of the cell could land them in deeper trouble. After a few seconds, though, they forced the door open. About five inmates stepped out of the cell, security camera footage showed. Some checked on the officer, while others banged on doors and walls, yelling for help.
The authorities credit the inmates with saving the guard’s life, although they will still have to serve their time. Still, in this Jubilee Year of Mercy, this is a very cool story, and who knows — once cells have been burst — what the Holy Spirit might yet accomplish?
Speaking of which, yes, the cells have been reinforced.
